Reflections Deadline Extended

10/10/2020 4:24 pm

Participating in Reflections is easy--all your children need to do is reflect on this year’s theme to find inspiration and then create a piece of original artwork to share with the Orange Hunt Elementary School community. Students may submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. Students’ artwork will be judged by a panel of volunteer judges and winning submissions for each category will be sent to the Fairfax County Council PTA (FCCPTA) to compete against students from throughout the county.

The deadline has been extended and student entries are now due on 16 October. There will be two steps for submitting your children’s entries this year. First, you will need to fill out your child’s official entry form, which has been provided by the FCCPTA. After you submit that form, you will be directed to a page acknowledging your submission; this page includes a Dropbox link--please click that link and submit a photograph or video of your child’s artwork. Please be sure the name of the file you enter in the official entry form matches the name of the file you upload to the Dropbox link.

Here are the links to the official entry forms:

If your child is in Kindergarten-Second Grade, please use one of these links: Dance, Film, Literature, Music, Photography, Visual Arts.

If your child is in Third-Fifth Grade, please use one of these links: Dance, Film, Literature, Music, Photography, Visual Arts

If your child is in Sixth Grade, please use one of these links: Dance, Film, Literature, Music, Photography, Visual Arts.

For more information on these categories, please see the program rules. Please contact this year's Reflections chair, Scott James at with any additional questions.
