Cub Scout Pack 685

Cub Scout packs serve boys and girls who are in kindergarten through 5th grade (or 5-10 years of age). This scouting program has provided high quality, fun, and educational programs designed to help young people build moral strength and character, develop fitness, and become active, responsible citizens. Cub Scouts emphasizes a year-round, home-centered program at the local level that helps to strengthen the family. But children don’t join Scouting to build character. They join because it is filled with fun adventures!

Pack 685 (Chartered by the Winston Knolls Civic Association) is a family pack. We meet once a month as a collective group on the fourth Thursday of the month at Orange Hunt ES cafeteria. Exceptions to the calendar are made during the months of December, February, summer months. There are games, skits, songs, ceremonies, and presentations of awards earned that month. Led by volunteer Cubmaster (and supported by a Pack Committee), the pack runs special Cub Scout programs such as two campouts a year (fall and spring), Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold ceremony, community service and Summertime Fun activities, and more!

Northern Virginia Junior Cotillion: Fairfax & Arlington Chapters

The purpose of  Northern Virginia Junior Cotillion programs are to give young people instruction in etiquette and social dance. Our programs focus on helping students to have a greater appreciation and respect for themselves and others and in so doing, an increase in self esteem. Our program empowers  students with the knowledge of what is expected of them in a variety of social situations, resulting in an increase in confidence that comes with that knowledge.

We offer programs for students in sixth grade through high school. Each program is developed to meet the needs of the students in that particular age group. New students in all grades are welcome to join us, and need not have participated previously.

Registration for the 2025-26 season is now open!

Students from ALL schools are welcome!
