2021-2022 PTA Board Nominations

In order to have a successful PTA year next year we need volunteers to serve on the PTA board, you can volunteer for any position but we are especially looking for a new President and Treasurer. We are happy to share our experiences from the last few years

The nominating committee is looking for individuals interested in serving on the 2021-2022 OHES PTA Board. The PTA plays an important role in supporting the students and staff at Orange Hunt Elementary. Below is a very brief list of responsibilities for each position.  We are happy to provide additional details if you have any questions. Please email President@orangehuntpta.org with questions or if you would like to be added to the board slate for the 2021-2022 school year. The slate will be presented at the April 15th PTA meeting and elections will be held at the May 20th PTA meeting. 

2021-2022 OHES PTA Board Positions:

President:  Responsible for presiding over all PTA meetings, coordinate the work of officers and committees, and other duties as necessary

1st Vice President:  Shall assist the President in all duties and oversee the school support Committees

2nd Vice President:  Shall coordinate event planning and oversee the ways and means committees

3rd Vice President:  Responsible for PTA communications

Treasurer:  Have custody of all funds and finances of the PTA, keep a full and accurate record of all receipts and expenditures, present a financial statement at each PTA meeting, File tax forms.

Recording Secretary:  Record the minutes at the PTA meetings

Virtual Variety Show

Our annual Variety Show will be all virtual this year! We are looking for comedians, musicians, magicians, poets, jugglers, basketball dunkers, and all other creative talents to contribute to a pre-recorded talent show. Please email varietyshow@orangehuntpta.org if you are interested or have any questions.

Nominating Committee Volunteers

The PTA is looking for three volunteers to form a nominating committee to complete the 2021-2022 PTA Board slate. If you are interested in helping out with this please email Jennifer Clapp at President@orangehuntpta.org. We will use our newsletter and Facebook to help find volunteers for the board positions.

Staff Appreciation Week March 22-26

OHES will be celebrating staff appreciation week March 22 - March 26. To make this easy for all our families and to help ensure all the staff know how much they are appreciated the PTA is asking for donations. We will use the money raised to purchase a token of appreciation for all staff members. Valentine's Day

Please email Hospitality@orangehuntpta.org with your students’ personalized Valentine's Day message to their favorite teacher and staff by February 8th.The Hospitality committee will be doing something creative with these messages, in a way to share with all staff and students.

Community Events Volunteers

The PTA is looking for volunteers to help lead community events this Spring.  We are looking for volunteers to lead a virtual Paint/Craft night and International Children's Day.  We know these community events won't look like they did in prior years but we hope to be able to bring the OHES community together in some format.   Please email President@orangehuntpta.org if you are interested in leading a community event.

Chipotle Fundraiser January 12th

Make dinner a selfless act by joining us for a fundraiser to support Orange Hunt Elementary PTA. Come in to the Chipotle at 6230 Rolling Road in West Springfield on Tuesday, January 12th between 4:00pm and 8:00pm. Bring in this flyer, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you’re supporting the cause to make sure that 33% of the proceeds will be donated to Orange Hunt Elementary PTA.
