Girls on the Run (GOTR) Registration Now Open

Registration for Girls on the Run is now open. The spring session will run from March 4 - May 19 and is open to girls in 3rd - 6th grade. Practices will be held at OHES on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 - 4:45. See flyer for details and register at: https://www.gotrnova.org/

Chess Club Still Taking Registrations

Due to the snow days we’ve only had 2 chess club meetings so it’s definitely  not too late to join-we still have 12 meetings left! Spring session is the best time for newcomers to learn the game and receive personalized instruction. The club is open to all students from 2nd through 6th grade. Orange Hunt Computer and Coding Club Winter Registration Now Open

The program aims to align STEM education through beginner to advanced computer science and coding opportunities to build a Orange Hunt community Computer & Coding Club.  Winter session includes 'Kinder-Tech' and 'Minecraft Modding' and '3D Printing'.  See flyer for details.  Limited seating, so register soon at stemexcel.org/orangehunt.

Orange Hunt Fencing Club Winter Registration

Improve agility, balance, and tactical thinking at the Orange Hunt Fencing Club! Also known as “physical chess,” fencing is growing in popularity in our area and nationwide. Classes are taught by Olympic fencer Jun Liang-Smith, who has developed a program for elementary school aged children. Have fun while participating in a really cool sport! Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Orange Hunt cafeteria. The first session starts on January 8. Click here for registration form.

The GMU Acting for Young People after-school program is now enrolling for Winter and Spring sessions at OHES.  The program is offered in the cafeteria on Mondays at 3:45-4:45pm and is open to all students from 3rd through 6th grade. Global Plus Winter 2019

Offering Spanish and German classes for students in K-3th grade. Classes meet once a week on Tuesdays or Thursdays depending on grade level and language. Please see flyer for details.

The GLOBAL Plus Program is an approach to language learning that allows students to develop communicative skills, using interactive SMART board technology and other fun activities. The curriculum is designed so students taking the class in multiple years will learn new material. Classes are suitable for students beginning and students with experience speaking the language.
