FCPS Budget Process – Please get involved!

1/27/2017 2:16 pm

Earlier this month, the FCPS Interim Superintendent presented the FCPS FY2018 budget. A significant shortfall in revenue to fund the budget is expected, and so the School Board is likely going to have to consider sweeping cuts to programs across the board including the language immersion program, AP/IB, AAP, strings, in addition to raising all fees (high school parking, athletics, community use, etc.) and increasing classroom sizes and/or reducing or eliminating teacher pay increases.

Have concerns about this?  Tell the School Board and Fairfax County Board of Supervisors how you feel!  Here is some information about what you can do to advocate for issues you care about.
